The Beacon LitFest celebrates the literary arts in the Hudson Valley and brings together a diverse group of award-winning poets, playwrights, fiction writers and nonfiction writers for readings, lively conversation, performances, and connection. This year's festival is planned for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June 12, 13, and 14. All-access three-day passes are available as well as single-event tickets.
Click here for all the details and to see the exciting lineup! There will be an entire weekend of events, featuring prize-winning poets and authors, outstanding performers and storytellers, and more, in multiple venues along Beacon's charming and historic Main Street.
Saturday's events begin with poetry at the Beahive event space, with Dutchess Poet Laureate Ruth Danon; John Yau,winner of the Jackson Prize in Poetry; and Gregory Pardlo, winner of the Pulitzer Prize, who will read and discuss their works in conversationwith Andrea Talarico (Stanza Books).
This is a not-to-be-missed event for poetry lovers and the poetry curious featuring some of the best voices around! So, grab a coffee at one of the many purveyors on Main Street and head over to the Beahive for an inspired and inspiring morning!
