Dutchess Tourism, Inc. (DTI) held its 11th Annual Awards of Distinction ceremony on November 13, 2024, at The Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home in Hyde Park, N.Y. David Bova of Millbrook Vineyards and Winery receives Mary Kay Vrba Spirit Award. The Dutchess County Executive’s Award for Overall Excellence goes to Barton Orchards.

The 11th Annual Awards of Distinction ceremony takes place at The Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home in Hyde Park, N.Y. on November 13. The event recognizes outstanding contributions to the tourism industry in Dutchess County, honoring individuals and businesses that have positively impacted the Hudson Valley’s expanding tourism sector. Millbrook Vineyards and Winery’s David Bova to receive the Mary Kay Vrba Spirit Award.

Dutchess County’s tourism industry continues to thrive with significant growth in visitor spending, job creation, and investment in attractions and amenities, increasing residents’ quality of life. The $756 million spent in 2023 was $50 million higher than the previous record set in 2022. 

Wheel the World, a leader in travel solutions for people with disabilities, designated New York’s Dutchess County with a Verified Destination certification, giving travelers access to accurate accessibility information for county hotels, activities and restaurants.

Dutchess Tourism, the official destination marketing organization for Dutchess County, hosted its annual brochure exchange on May 9, 2024, at the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. where they released the new 2024 Discover Dutchess Destination Guide to inspire travelers to visit the Mid-Hudson Valley.
