The Beacon LitFest celebrates the literary arts in the Hudson Valley and brings together a diverse group of award-winning poets, playwrights, fiction writers and nonfiction writers for readings, lively conversation, performances, and connection. This year's festival is planned for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June 12, 13, and 14. All-access three-day passes are available as well as single-event tickets.

Click here for all the details and to see the exciting lineup! There will be an entire weekend of events, featuring prize-winning poets and authors, outstanding performers and storytellers, and more, in multiple venues along Beacon's charming and historic Main Street.

In this event at the Howland Cultural Center, the founders and co-directors of the groundbreaking NYC-based company TEA Artistry, Vieve Radha Price and Chuk Obasi, will join producer and moderatorShane Killoran (Hit House Creative). You'll hear about and experience how methods of Insight Artistry are used to develop theatrical pieces. By fully engaging in deep critical thinking and questioning throughout the creative process, the application of IA results in a more fully realized work from page to stage. This promises to be an exciting exploration in the use of language and the creative process.
