1. What's your name and where can people find your work?

2. Describe your perfect staycation in Dutchess, or your idea of a fun weekend in the County: 

A fun weekend in Dutchess for me would be to split up two days, one working up the river and Route 9 corridor, the next would be the Route 22 Harlem Valley Corridor. On the Hudson River Corridor make sure you hit these spots: Ground Hog Coffee, Hudson Valley Brewery, Millhouse Brewing, The Bagel Shoppe, Alps Sweet Shop, Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site, FDR Presidential Library & Museum, Poet's Walk, Meadowbrook Farm, Obercreek Farm, Stonykill Farm, Long Dock Park, Madam Brett Park.  On the Harlem Valley Route 22 Corridor: Taconic Distillery, Harney & Sons Tea’s, Millbrook Winery, Trevor Zoo, Dover Stone Church, Appalachian Trail. 
 

3. What equipment do you use in your photography?

I’m a Nikon guy, my main lens is a super wide-angle but I mix in a wide-angle and zoom. It covers the majority of what is out there without a million prime lenses. Never leave home without a tripod too. A few other things I have handy are neutral density filters and a remote shutter. At home, I’m an Apple guy and use Adobe Lightroom to process. 

4. What is your favorite place to photograph in Dutchess and why? 

Madam Brett Park in Beacon. It’s filled with everything, waterfall, old mill structures, trails, trains and bridges. It just has something to keep you on your toes. Madam Brett Park however is not a really good night location, so with that in mind try Long Dock Park for nighttime photography.  

 
5. Do you have somewhere on your list that you want to photograph in Dutchess, but haven’t gotten there yet?

I'd like to go to Innisfree Gardens. 

 
6. Give us a few photography tips. 

Every single day that goes by the world gets faster. You miss so much by going faster in your car. S L O W down, you will find things literally everywhere. Instead of driving, get out and walk, go to a park and just lounge around. I always suggest getting out of your comfort zone. Taking pictures is not only summer sunsets. Get out in the winter, in the rain, in the fog, in the morning, in the dark.
